I cut and powder-coat these in our Garland, Texas shop from 1.2mm carbon steel, so they hold up on a porch post or over a kitchen sink without flaking. People hang them above mudrooms, in farmhouse kitchens, on barn walls, or at entryways. The finish is a weather-resistant powder coat that resists rust in normal outdoor conditions; still, avoid constant ground contact.
